NOTICE: Impacts of cold weather on LATS
When there is a significant accumulation of snow, ice and fog accompanied by temperatures of – 25 ̊C and a wind chill, road conditions may cause delays to Leduc Assisted Transportation Services (LATS). To help keep our staff and clients safe, wheelchair lifts will no longer be available on LATS buses during these cold weather events, effective Feb. 4, 2021. This will also help us protect the equipment from exposure to extreme temperatures. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
When travelling in cold weather, please keep the following tips in mind:
- Do your best to be visible, but wait indoors until the bus arrives
- Keep your porch light on
- Remove snow from walkways and step carefully on slippery surfaces
